What to carry
There are no stores on the island. Local businesses and the ferry carries sandwiches, snacks, beverages, and souvenirs (T-shirts and caps). Day and overnight visitors should consider food, drinks, suntan lotion, walking shoes, rain gear, and sunglasses. No pets or bikes allowed on the ferry.

Camping, Fishing Surf or Sound
Fishing License is required. Red bass, sea trout, blue fish croaker and drum. Light tackle only. Camping - Reservations required. Trail maps available. Limited to 7 days. Developed campgrounds: restrooms, cold water showers, drinking water, campfires permitted. Back Country Camps with drinking water, no other facilities, no campfires, portable stove necessary. Georgia fishing license can be purchased in St Marys, Ga.

Activities
Explore beach and live oak forest, view birds and wildlife, visit historical sites and swimming (no lifeguards). Ranger conducted activities in peak season. Special programs for groups arranged in advance. Walking only, no vehicles available.
